Brittany is an eleven year old Caucasian girl, who likes smiling and is sure to bring laughter into your home. Her favorite pastimes include reading, playing games, walking/hiking, and using the computer. Although she likes new experiences, she does have some difficulty with change. Currently, Brittany is living in a small residential home where she is doing well. At school, Brittany attends a day program and is working hard with the help of special education services. Once rules and limits are established and understood, Brittany’s academic and behavioral performance greatly improves. Legally free for adoption, Brittany would benefit from a two-parent home (male/female) with older or no children, who have patience, will set boundaries, and be open to her respite care provider who she refers to as “mom.” It is important to Brittany that her family help her maintain contact with her biological mother once a year. Brittany’s sense of humor, smiling demeanor, and desire to have fun make her a joy to be around.
