HI! My name is Laurie.
“I love Naruto (Japanese anime).”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I also really like sports.

And here’s what others say…
Kind, loyal and trustworthy, Laurie is good to his friends and those he is close to. He enjoys being helpful and has strong relationships with the staff at his residential home. Due to tremendous strides, Laurie was recently able to step down to the group home at his residential program. Born of African American and Latino heritage, Laurie is a fourteen year old who likes to be with his friends, or taken to Game Stop to browse and trade video games and stop at Burger King to eat. Sports are important to Laurie, and he especially enjoys basketball, baseball and soccer. At his residential home, Laurie is quick to help out with chores and volunteers with his school’s Buddy Reading program in which he reads to younger children. Reading is a challenge for Laurie, but he tries hard and is making great progress with the help of a computer program that also helps him with speech. Laurie thrives when he receives constant supervision with daily living tasks and redirection to stay focused. He continues to work on understanding and expressing his emotions and benefits from both medication and therapy. Laurie is an engaging adolescent who works hard at all that he does. He is now ready to be part of a family who will appreciate his hard work and nurture his continued successes. Legally free for adoption, Laurie would do well as the youngest or only child in a single or two-parent household in which he can have space of his own. Laurie would benefit from consistency and structure in a home and will thrive with love and attention.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would have a pet bird and a dog!
