HI! My name is John.
“I like sports.”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I play on a basketball team.

And here’s what others say…
Smart, thoughtful and athletic, John is a twelve year old Latino boy who is ready to have a permanent home. Though a somewhat quiet person, John is friendly and loves to stay active. In his free time, he likes playing sports like basketball, football and baseball. He also loves going to the movie theatre to see the latest movies. Preferring to be around others when going out, John likes to be with friends or his foster mother. At school, he does excellent work and is on target academically. He continues to make strides in addressing behavioral issues in the classroom with the help of an individualized education plan and an alternative school setting. At home, John gets along very well with other children and has a strong attachment to his foster mother. She describes him as helpful around the house and a child who can be very compassionate. John hopes that he will soon be with a permanent family. Legally free for adoption, John would do well with a nurturing two-parent family who can provide him with consistency, guidance and love. An ideal family will be a strong advocate for John’s needs and ensure that he continues to participate in supportive services. John also needs to know that a family will help him to stay connected to his four siblings.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would have a family who would be understanding and fun.
