HI! We are Leisa & Tatkneeya.
“We both like sports.”

Let us tell you more…
We want to stay together.

And here’s what others say…
Leisa and Tatkneeya are friendly young girls of African American descent who share a love of basketball. They value their relationship with each other and also hold strong connections to the people in their lives. They wish to find a permanent family that will support them in their different stages of development. Leisa desires having a parent who will respect her freedom and be a mentor to her. Tatkneeya simply wants a family that will include her big sister, Leisa.

Sixteen year old Leisa is a phenomenal basketball player, well-behaved student and a wonderful big sister. She has many great qualities that will help her to achieve her goal of attending college. In school, Leisa works hard in a supportive environment where she receives positive reinforcement. Her social, talkative nature is apparent to her peers, but she takes more time to warm up around adults. She also enjoys singing and dancing and takes advantage of her alone time by writing poetry and taking walks.

Tatkneeya is a sensitive ten year old girl with a love for animals. She has many interests that keep her busy, such as dancing, playing video games and collecting Bratz dolls. Of course she always has downtime to watch her favorite movies. Tatkneeya discovered vegetable gardening last year and enjoys every minute of it. After school, she attends a youth program where she thrives because of her outgoing personality.

The girls have a good relationship with their current foster mother, who serves as a grandmother figure. They would both like to stay in contact with her, as well as with their two older brothers. Legally free for adoption, Leisa and Tatkneeya need a family who will be straightforward with predictable expectations and choices. Together they hope to find a loving single or two-parent family with no younger children who will help them to maintain connections with the important people in their lives.

If we could have our own special wish…
We would stay together. Tatkneeya would also like a family who would take her fishing.
