HI!
My name is Hector.
“I love going to Fenway Park.”
Let
me tell you more about myself…
I love to play sports.
And
here’s what others say…
Fourteen year old Hector
is a fun and humorous child who was born of Latino and Caucasian heritage.
Sweet and thoughtful, he is a natural athlete who works very hard in all
aspects of his life. Hector has played organized sports and enjoys baseball,
basketball, soccer and floor hockey. He is a huge fan of the Boston Red
Sox and also likes the New England Patriots and the Celtics. Hector is
adventurous and open to trying new things. In addition to sports, his
interests include riding his bike, playing video games, fishing, photography,
hiking, camping, and music. Hector loves different types of music and
currently participates in a break dancing club. He has even taken guitar
lessons. Hector currently lives in a residential program where he excels
in one-on-one activity. He is quick to help out and tries hard to please
those around him. Hector has a solid group of friends, and values trust
and honesty in his relationships. Currently in a specialized school setting,
he continues to strive to reach academic goals and has earned the Presidential
Award for Most Improved and Hardest Worker. Hector’s favorite subject
is math, but he also enjoys reading chapter books. He does well using
adults for support, and has the ability to make strong connections with
caring adults in his life. Hector is a great communicator who is in tune
with his needs and feelings. Both inquisitive and resilient, he asks a
lot of questions and has overcome many obstacles in his life. Legally
free for adoption, Hector is in need of a family who can provide him with
both structure and supervision. His new family should be patient and understanding,
and openly support his efforts in therapy. Hector will need a slow transition
experience into his new home and would do best in a single or two-parent
home where there are older or no other children. It is important to Hector
that his future family help him maintain occasional contact with his siblings.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would have a family who will like doing things
with me.
