Born of African American descent, Shaquon is a handsome, twelve year old boy. Presenting as shy with a beautiful smile, he is also known for his great sense of humor. Shaquon has a very large range of interests. He really enjoys sports, especially basketball and football, and is drawn to artistic endeavors. He is currently learning to play the guitar and also occupies himself with drawing. Performance arts are also a draw for Shaquon who enjoys both singing and acting. While Shaquon can have some struggles behaviorally, he is a very giving child within his home and prides himself on being helpful to his foster family. Shaquon, currently in sixth grade, benefits from academic and social supports through his individual education plan at school. Legally free for adoption, Shaquon hopes to find a one or two-parent home with no younger children that could offer him love and stability. Shaquon has a medical condition that requires daily attention, and he will need a family who can ensure he receives ongoing monitoring and care. He would benefit from a dedicated family who would help understand his emotional needs and provide a structured and supportive environment for him.
