HI! My name is Gabriella.

“I am a good artist and love to draw.”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I like playing with my Barbie dolls.

And here’s what others say…
Gabby is a sweet and kind-hearted eleven year old Caucasian girl who is eager to please and thrives on one-on-one attention. She is universally loved by all who come into contact with her. Gabby loves drawing, singing, dancing, and playing with her dolls. She is easily engaged in creative and expressive activities that are not bound by rules or a lot of steps that may be difficult for her to grasp. She has a clear connection and attachment to her caretakers and other children who have been in the same home. Gabby’s primary special needs relate to her global cognitive delays which affect her progress in all academic areas. She is also delayed in gross motor skills, coordination, and visual motor abilities. She receives speech and occupational therapy, and she is provided an extended school year to prevent regression over the summer. Though many school tasks are difficult for Gabby, she puts forth great efforts to learn. She has previously been in therapy to work through issues from her past, and she will continue to need to be in therapy. She has no behavioral difficulties and is not on medication. Gabby is legally free for adoption, and she needs a family who understands her special needs and cognitive delays and accepts her for who she is. A family would need to be a strong advocate for Gabby, especially in the area of education. They should be supportive and attentive to Gabby’s specific needs and provide her with a lot of attention as she will not initiate any activity on her own. A family would also need to help Gabby maintain connections to birth family members and possibly her former foster family.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would like to have a family who will love me and look after me.
