HI! My name is Carissa.
“I don’t like to watch television.”
Let
me tell you more about myself…
I prefer to sing and dance.
And
here’s what others say…
Carissa, almost six years old, is a very energetic young girl of African
American and Caucasian heritage. She loves to do anything but sit around
and watch television. She keeps active singing, dancing and acting. Carissa
does well in her foster home, where she is the youngest and thrives with
consistent attention. At school, she is building her social skills with
peers and benefits from supports to address significant behavioral struggles
in the classroom. Legally free for adoption, Carissa would do well with
a single mother or two parent family, with no younger children, who will
provide her with a home filled with love, patience and understanding,
as she continues to work through emotional challenges that stem from her
past. Carissa has a strong bond with her older sister, Brittany, and would
love to be placed in a family with her. However, if this is not possible,
families who can help the girls maintain their relationship will be considered.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would be with my sister in a family.
