HI!
My name is Serenity.
“I like toys that make noise.”
Let
me tell you more about myself…
I’m curious about the world around me.
And
here’s what others say…
Five year old Serenity
is an adorable and playful Caucasian child. She loves to explore her world
and play with her favorite toys -- her stuffed animals. Serenity also
very much likes music and any toy that makes noises or lights up. She
is a good eater whose favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs. Serenity
currently lives with a foster family where she is doing well. Diagnosed
with mental retardation and autism, Serenity benefits from on-going care
and supports at school and home. She loves attending her kindergarten
classroom where she receives one-to-one supports and therapies. She is
learning to sign and point at pictures to express herself. Serenity also
uses babble and loud noises to get her message across. She enjoys being
able to walk with guidance from adults and is curious about her environment.
Serenity does best with adult supervision so that she keeps herself safe.
Legally free for adoption, Serenity is in need of a loving single mother
or two-parent family, with no younger children, who can understand and
meet her significant needs. An ideal family will help Serenity to maintain
her connection with birth family.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would have a family who loves and cares for
me. I’d also get to see my siblings.
