PARTNERS & SPONSORS

MARE is able to effectively deliver programs and services that directly impact the children and families we serve thanks to strong relationships with our dedicated partners and sponsors. We are grateful for their support and look forward to continuing these relationships for many years to come.

The Boston Globe
The Boston Globe has partnered with MARE since 1976 to publish the Sunday’s Child® column. Since its inception, more than 1,100 children have been featured, leading to over 300 placements with adoptive families.

The Boston Yacht Club
Since 1987, The Boston Yacht Club (BYC), the oldest yacht club in New England, has hosted the Chowder Challenge Boat Race and Commodore’s Cup Golf Tournament to support MARE. This relationship began and has grown due to the dedication of the Quigley family, who are BYC members and champions of our mission.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a non-profit public charity dedicated to dramatically increasing the adoptions of the more than 140,000 children in North America’s foster care systems. Wendy's Wonderful Kids is a signature program of the Foundation. Since 2006, MARE has been a proud recipient of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption grant for the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, with one Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiter based in Springfield and one now based in Boston.

The Jack Williams Endowment for Wednesday’s Child
A television journalist since 1968, Jack Williams has been recognized by numerous organizations for his reporting skills, commitment to the community and his work on behalf of his weekly news series Wednesday’s Child, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on the air in 2006. Over the years, Jack has raised a significant amount of funds in support of MARE programs and services. In April 2000, Mr. Williams created The Jack Williams Endowment for Wednesday’s Child which makes grants to a variety of organizations that support children in foster care and special needs adoption.

Jordan’s Furniture
Eliot Tatelman and the team at Jordan’s Furniture have worked in partnership with MARE since December 1998. Through their sponsorship of MARE programs and services, Jordan’s has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to raising public awareness and advancing the cause of adoption through foster care. More than 150 children have been placed with adoptive families as a direct result of Jordan’s sponsorship.

The Massachusetts Department of Social Services
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is dedicated to the safety, permanency and well being of children who have been abused and neglected in family settings, or by recognized caretakers. MARE works closely with DSS and agencies contracted by DSS to find “a place to call HOME” for those children in Massachusetts’ foster care system.

Route 128 Used Auto Parts
Route 128 Used Auto Parts is the automobile recycling partner for the MARE Car Donation Program, a fundraising initiative that provides significant support to MARE programs and services. Owner Charles Mantenuto and his staff believe strongly in the MARE mission and are advocates for the organization’s programs and services.
