Adrian

A talented pitcher, fourteen year old Adrian hopes to one day don a Red Sox uniform. Of African American heritage, he is an avid sports fan, loving nothing more than to watch and play baseball and football. When it comes to school, Adrian enjoys learning and often does best in math and science. He is working at grade level and receives average grades, but his teachers report that he has great potential to do more. Adrian is ready to find a single or two-parent family who will be supportive and understanding. He has made much progress moving beyond his past and will continue to thrive in a family experienced with foster care and adoption issues. It is important that Adrian remain in contact with his birth father.



Alexander

A joy to be around, Alexander is a friendly and engaging child who is a favorite among the staff at his residential home. He loves playing in water, learning to throw a basketball towards the net and taking walks with those close to him. Fifteen years old, Alexander was born of Cape Verdian descent. He has worked hard to gain many new skills despite the challenges of autism and developmental delays. Alexander has increased his ability to communicate by using pictures and is able to complete many daily routines independently. He gets along well with the other children at his residential home. He would do well as the only or youngest child of a two-parent family who will understand his needs and provide him with the routines and structure he loves. Charming and intelligent, ten year old Antoine wants to be a veterinarian when he gets older. He knows quite a bit about nature and loves to pick flowers, especially daisies. Antoine is also athletic and enjoys a variety of sports. A car enthusiast, he can tell you the make and model of just about any car he sees on the highway. He will tell you that his favorite color is pink and his favorite food is warmed-up pizza. Born of Latino and African American heritage, Antoine is a clever and respectful young gentleman who is hoping to have a loving adoptive family who will help him stay in touch with his two brothers.


 
Brittany

Brittany is a friendly, Caucasian, eleven year old girl whose great sense of humor and warm personality allow her to make friends easily. She loves to play outdoors, and her favorite activities are sledding, swimming and attending summer day camp. Brittany currently lives in a residential home and enjoys spending time on the computer, playing with her favorite dolls, and doing puzzles. In school, she has been thriving in a small classroom setting. Her favorite subject is reading. Brittany is in need of a two-parent family in which she can be the youngest child. She would do well with an adoptive family who provides her with a structured routine and regular encouragement. It is important that Brittany maintain contact with her birth mother. Cassie is a sweet and personable fourteen year old Caucasian girl who is always open to trying new things. Fun, energetic and creative, she likes to give hugs to people close to her. In addition, she loves animals, drawing, playing board games, participating in sports, and getting her hair and nails done. Academically, Cassie does well in math and is working hard in her other subjects. She also volunteers her time reading to younger students in her school. Cassie has a good memory and her speech delays have improved with speech therapy. Cassie would do well in a single or two-parent family that preferably has parenting experience. At the young age of ten, Christopher is already a true athlete. An engaging and energetic Caucasian boy, he enjoys all sports and is a particularly talented golfer. He currently lives in a foster home where he has a positive and close relationship with his foster family. At school, Christopher benefits from a specialized classroom and an individualized education plan that addresses his academic needs. His winning personality has helped him to develop positive peer relationships at school. Christopher would do best as the only child in a two-parent family who will cherish him for all that he has to offer. It is important that he maintain contact with his siblings. C.J. is a six year old Caucasian boy who loves to receive attention and praise. He interacts with others through eye contact and heartwarming smiles. Having books read aloud to him is one of his favorite pastimes. Because of his significant medical needs, C.J. relies on his caregivers for mobility and care. Since birth he has lived in a medical facility where he also goes to school. Though non-verbal, C.J. communicates with those around him by shaking his head or crying when he is unhappy, and smiling or dancing with his hands when he is happy. The ideal family for C.J. would not only be able to meet his extensive medical needs, but would cherish the love and joy that he will give them in return. Daniel is an easy going nine year old Caucasian boy. Active and fun, he loves to play outside and ride his bike. During quieter moments, he also enjoys playing video games on his computer. Daniel currently receives supports in school for his emotional and behavioral needs, and is thriving in his small classroom setting. Daniel is ready for a permanent family of his own. He is a youngster with much to bring to a family who will give him lots of love, understanding and nurturance. Daniel would do best in a two-parent family, with or without other children. It is very important that Daniel’s adoptive family help him to remain in contact with his biological mother.

Well-behaved and well-liked, eleven year old David likes to be “one of the guys.” Whether it’s playing his Game Boy or watching sports, he enjoys all activities that keep him active. Of Caucasian descent, David is thriving in school with the help of an individualized education plan. He is also working to improve his speech and language skills. His favorite classes in school are art and gym, and in his spare time he likes to visit the library or play on the computer. David would do well in a home with two parents who can provide him with the love, attention, services and structure he needs. It is also important that he maintain contact with his sister and brothers.

Deaveon is a charming African American girl who enjoys arts and crafts and playing games. Soon to be six years old, she is adjusting to her more structured environment in school. Marquis is an eleven year old African American boy who can be quiet at times, but when comfortable, comes out of his shell. He enjoys playing video games, drawing, and sports, particularly basketball and football. Marquis is a good athlete and a very talented artist. He does well in school with the help of an individualized education plan. Both Deaveon and Marquis hope to find a family that will help them to remain in contact with their brothers. They would thrive in a home that provides consistency, structure, and positive attention.

Devonte is an outgoing and friendly eleven year old Latino boy who gets along well with his peers and the adults in his life. He especially likes being around people who have a good sense of humor. Devonte spends his free time playing with friends, being outdoors and watching television. Completing puzzles, playing with bionicals and working on games that allow him to build with his hands also capture Devonte’s attention.

D’Mani is a handsome nine year old African American boy with a bright smile and polite personality. He is energetic and loves the outdoors. Whether it’s swimming or bike riding, D’Mani is ready to have fun. Watching his favorite television show “Sponge Bob Square Pants” and playing computer games also keep him entertained. D’Mani also has a great love for animals. He would do best with a single or two-parent family with no more than two other children. Preferably, D’Mani would be the youngest child in the family to ensure that he will receive the one-to-one attention he needs.
