Four
year old Kody is a happy and observant Caucasian boy
who loves to play patty-cake. He also likes to blow
kisses, laugh and play with others. He enjoys being
outdoors, taking rides in the car, and watching children’s
shows on television. Kody is a resilient child who
continues to confront significant challenges that
result from his birth history and cerebral palsy.
He receives on-going medical care and support services.
Kody is working on developing words and is able to
say “mama,” “hi,” and “bye-bye.”
He attends preschool where teachers report he is making
progress. Kody is ready to find a permanent single
or two-parent family, with or without children, who
will provide him with the attention, love and support
he needs.

Krista-Lyn
is a sweet, adorable ten-year-old Caucasian girl.
She is always on the go, and likes to spend time in
the park, taking walks, watching movies, and playing
video and board games. Krista-Lyn also enjoys bowling
and has just started gymnastics classes. She does
extremely well at school and particularly likes math
and computer class. Krista-Lyn gets along well with
her teachers and is building up her social skills
and friendships with her peers. An ideal family will
provide her with love and guidance so that she may
continue to grow into an ambitious young woman. Krista-Lyn
would like an experienced single mother or two-parent
family who can keep up with her and her many interests.

Krystal & Angel (Reg. # 2615

Krystal
and Angel are thirteen-year-old Latino twins who enjoy
being active. Krystal can do cartwheels, splits and
headstands. As a Girl Scout, she has enjoyed her community
service project teaching handicapped girls to dance.
Angel is considerate, helpful and friendly. He does
not watch TV, since he prefers to get more involved
in activities, like playing games, shopping or talking
on the phone. He likes school, especially science
because of the “hands-on” projects. Angel
and Krystal are in the same foster home where they
get along well with the other children. They are both
popular among their peers in their seventh grade class.
Angel and Krystal would do best in a two-parent family

Ten-year-old
Luis is a very caring Latino youngster. He is sweet,
lovable and can light up the room with his bright
smile. Like all boys his age, Luis enjoys cars, computers,
riding his bike, board games, and playing video games.
He loves all animals and would like to be a veterinarian
when he grows up. In his residential home, Luis has
formed healthy and trustful relationships. He also
often makes sweet comments to help brighten the staff’s
day. In school, Luis thrives with individualized attention.
He would like a mother and father who reside near
his brother. He would also like to attend the same
school he is in now. If Luis could have his own special
wish, he said it would simply be “to have a
family who is kind and spends time with me.”

Energetic
and social, Marianne is a Caucasian nine year old
who loves being silly. She can often be found dancing,
playing dress-up or just having a laugh with those
around her. She thrives with a lot of attention from
the adults in her life. At school, Marianne continues
to work hard to catch up in math and reading, and
receives supports that address her academic and behavioral
needs. Marianne would do well with two parents, especially
two moms, who will provide her with the love, understanding
and support she needs. She should be the youngest
or only child at home, and she has expressed that
she would like an older sister. |

Michael
is a fun-loving, twelve year old Latino boy who is
well-liked by his peers. Described as a “good
eater,” he likes to chow down on anything from
home-cooked meals to fast food. In his spare time,
Michael enjoys drawing, playing video games and going
to his after-school program. He is creative and makes
amazing structures using LEGOs. He is passionate about
basketball, and dreams of becoming a professional
player when he grows up. Michael is a hard-working
student, but needs help staying focused. Special education
services address his academic and behavioral challenges.
Michael will thrive in a family who provides him with
attention, consistency and structure. It is also important
to him that he maintain a relationship with his brothers.

Mikey

Mikey
is an adorable ten year old Latino boy who always
has a smile on his face. Quite the conversationalist,
he likes to ask a lot of questions and is very inquisitive.
He loves playing with toy cars and knows a lot about
different makes and models. Not one for sports, Mikey
enjoys going to the park, riding his scooter or playing
indoors. He attends a specialized school where he
receives the academic and social supports he needs.
He is a big fan of books and enjoys reading and having
someone read to him. He is ready to find a patient
and loving two-parent family, with no younger children,
who will help him to continue to make strides and
reach his full potential. Mikey has a close relationship
with his brothers and needs to remain connected to

Morris
is a charming five-year-old African American boy
with sparkling brown eyes and a warm smile. He is
an imaginative youngster who plays well on his own.
In his foster home he likes to help with household
chores, and he regularly attends church with his
foster mother. Morris’ favorite activities
include drawing, listening to music and playing
in the park. He is a determined young man with aspirations
to be a jet pilot. Morris does well at school with
support from his special education program. He would
do best with a single mother or in a two-parent
home with no children or with teenage children.

Nyilson
is a seven-year-old Cape Verdean boy who loves to
receive attention and praise. He interacts with others
through eye contact, bright smiles, and his contagious
laugh. One of Nyilson’s favorite pastimes is
having books read aloud to him. Because of his significant
medical needs, Nyilson relies on his caregivers for
mobility and care. He has been diagnosed with cerebral
palsy and receives nutrition via a g-tube. Nyilson
takes part in speech and language therapy as well
as occupational and physical therapy. He loves horseback
riding and his therapy sessions in the pool. Nyilson
needs a home where the caretaker has medical knowledge
or skills. He is a loving little boy who has the unique
ability to make anyone smile even on a bad day. For

Paul
is a personable and engaging eleven year old boy of
African American and Caucasian descent who enjoys
hugs. He is very theatrical and dreams of starring
in musicals like “Wicked” on Broadway.
He also enjoys going fishing when the opportunity
arises, riding his bicycle and having pets around.
He would like to experience life on a farm. Paul is
bright, and would benefit from a family who could
help him keep up with his schoolwork. He currently
lives at a residential home and is making progress
as he learns to behave appropriately. He enjoys adults
and gets along with them well, but he can have trouble
relating to peers. Paul is looking for a two-parent
family who could support his emotional and medical
needs as he grows up and pursues his many interests.

is a fun-loving, nine year old Latino boy who has
an adventurous spirit and enjoys trying new things.
Outgoing and active, Raffi can often be found shooting
hoops, riding his bike, playing with other children,
and engaging in any other activity involving the outdoors.
He also has a great sense of humor and shows concern
for others. Well-spoken, he is a third grade student
who is eager to learn and is benefiting from his individualized
education plan. Raffi would do well with a dedicated,
two-parent family or a patient, single dad with no
other children. It is important to Raffi that he finds
a permanent home where he will no longer have to worry
about who he can depend on – a home where he
can instead focus on being loved and accepted. For

is a thirteen year old Caucasian boy who loves to
let his imagination run wild. Polite and energetic,
he easily engages in conversations with others. He
has a wide variety of interests, from comic books,
especially Spiderman and Batman, to camping, swimming,
bicycling, and hiking. In school, R.J. is well-liked
by his peers and is doing well with the help of an
individualized education plan. When he gets older,
he said he would like to be a police officer. R.J.
would thrive as the youngest child in a single or
two-parent family. After being placed in an adoptive
home, R.J. will need to maintain contact with his
