David is a thirteen year old Caucasian boy who is legally free for adoption. He is very curious and loves to learn. He performs at grade level in school but presently needs a little help with reading. His favorite books are the Harry Potter series. David is a natural “outdoor person.” He loves to build, kayak, swim, camp, and garden. He enjoys catching birds and butterflies and researching their identity. He then lets them go. He is enlarging his vocabulary daily by learning a word a day from the dictionary. David loves animals and can be very affectionate with them to the point where he may need to be cautioned. Along with being very patient, David can also be very strong willed and has been described by his foster family as an excellent “debater.” In need of a loving family, David would thrive with guidance, support and an opportunity to test his abilities. The ideal family for David should also support his contact with his siblings.
