HI! My name is Serenity.
“I love playing with my stuffed animals.”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I’m curious about the world around me!

And here’s what others say…
Serenity, a beautiful little girl, of Caucasian descent, with blonde hair and brown eyes, loves to explore the great outdoors and listen to music. This lively, expressive six year old also enjoys playing with her toys, especially her stuffed animals and the ones that light up or make noise. Serenity is a hearty eater whose favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs. Serenity has bonded well with both her foster mother and foster brother and is thriving in this environment. Diagnosed with mental retardation, autism and Rett’s disorder, Serenity benefits from ongoing assistance and supports both at school and at home. Happily attending the first grade, Serenity receives the one-on-one encouragement and therapies that she needs to continue to make strides. She is learning to sign and point at pictures to express herself and will babble and make loud noises in order to get her message across. Serenity is able to walk on her own with some guidance, especially with stairs. Serenity does best with adult supervision so that she keeps herself safe. Legally free for adoption, Serenity would do well in a loving single mother or two-parent family, with no younger children, that can understand and meet her significant needs. An ideal family would help Serenity to maintain her connection to her birth siblings. With the loving and stable environment that the right family would provide, Serenity will continue to march towards reaching her full potential.

I would have a family that would love me and help me to continue to learn.
