Jacob is a fifteen year old adolescent of African American descent. Jacob has been residing in foster care for a number of years. He does well in the community and in a family setting. He enjoys playing basketball, bike riding, and a night out at the roller rink. Jacob loves to cook and is pretty good in the kitchen. He also enjoys taking mechanical items apart and putting them back together. Jacob is a good student when he puts in the necessary effort. He enjoys his friends and being social in the community. Jacob takes time getting to know and trust peers and adults; however once he establishes a relationship, he is a sincere, engaging young man. He has always lived with his birth or foster siblings and has gotten along with all family members. Jacob will benefit from an adoptive family that will allow him time to bond with them. Jacob enjoys visits with his birth sister who was recently adopted, and he would like to maintain contact with her. Jacob has expressed interest in learning more about additional family members. Legally free for adoption, Jacob would do well with a single or two-parent family, with or without siblings. Jacob is a wonderful young man who has much to bring to a family that can offer him the stability and love that he needs to shine.
