HI!
My name is Dakota. “Outside exploring is where it is at for me.”
Let
me tell you more about myself… I have a winning smile!
And
here’s what others say…
Dakota, eight, is a friendly, outgoing and inquisitive little boy of Caucasian descent who likes to stay busy and ask lots of questions. Dakota has a lot of energy and likes to do almost anything outside. Some of his favorite activities include playing with his peers, exploring the outdoors, watching T.V. and playing video games. He is also interested in participating in baking when the option is there. Dakota is currently in a residential program where he is settling in and learning how to interact in a positive way. He can struggle with transitions and benefits from structure. He attends a specialized school program where he is on target academically. He struggles with following the rules at times and benefits from a Individualized Educational Plan for behavior. Legally free for adoption, Dakota would do well in an active, two-parent family with or without older children. An ideal family would be comfortable with Dakota maintaining contact with his biological sister and her adoptive family. A family that is open to formulating and following through on a behavior management plan with a behavior team would also be ideal. Dakota has a lot of potential and much to bring to a family that can offer him the consistency, patience and love that he needs to succeed.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would be adopted so that I don’t have to be different anymore.
