HI! My name is Chanelle.
“I have a great sense of humor.”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I like cars and Pokemon cards.

And here’s what others say…
Chanelle is a tall, lean 11 year old girl of African American descent. She can present as very introverted, but once she is comfortable with people she is easy to engage and loves to laugh. Chanelle has been described as a “tomboy”, likes to wear her hair in braids, and  has large, expressive eyes. She has also been diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic abnormality that specifically impacts her cognitive development. Chanelle has an Individualized Education Plan and requires long term supports in academics. At school, she is well liked by her teachers but there are significant social gaps in her relationships with her peers.

When in a home setting, Chanelle thrives with one on one attention. She is sweet and enjoys being helpful. She is able to really invest in relationships within the home. Legally free for adoption, Chanelle needs a two parent or single female family with no other children who will advocate for her educational supports and give her the attention she deserves. Additionally, it is important that her family assist her in visiting with her sister and maintaining that important relationship.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would find a family who could help me come out of my shell!

You can help bring me closer to finding "a place to call HOME" by filling out the MARE Information Request Form. They will be glad to help you get more information about me.
