HI! My name is Rocky.
“I like playing outside.”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I like lots of attention.

And here’s what others say…
Delgardo, better known as “Rocky,” is a sweet, loving child of Caucasian and West Indian descent seeking a family of his own. He is currently in a foster home where he loves being busy and helping out around the house. Rocky is making good progress in school with the extra services he receives as part of his Individualized Education Plan. He is popular with classmates and teachers alike. Rocky tries hard to please adults and responds well to positive reinforcement, reassurance, discipline and redirection.

Rocky has interests typical for an 11-year-old boy including video games, playing pool and playing with friends.  He is coordinated and would likely do well in various organized sports.  He is especially interested in flag football. Rocky loves to hang out in his foster family's swimming pool and is very comfortable in the water. He has learned to sail with his sister's adoptive family. Rocky enjoys attending summer camp where he participates in a wide variety of activities.

Legally free for adoption, Rocky is in need of a nurturing, structured two-parent home or a single parent home with supports. It will be important for Rocky to be placed in an adoptive family open to birth family contact in Massachusetts, which includes court ordered sibling visits that must occur twice per month prior to the adoption and monthly thereafter. Rocky would do best in a home with either no other children or older children and would benefit from a positive male role model. An adoptive family will need to have patience, parenting skills and an understanding of childhood trauma, as well as have the ability to advocate for the services Rocky will need. Rocky has made good gains and will continue progressing with sustained effort from caring adults.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would have an understanding family that is there for me.
