HI! My name is Khaleel.
"I have a smile that lights up a room!"

Let me tell you more about myself…
I love to try different kinds of foods.

And here’s what others say…
Khaleel is a smart and sensitive 10 year old boy of African American descent.   He has a bright smile, quiet disposition, and a wonderful sense of humor. Although Khaleel tends to be cautious at first, he starts to warm up once a rapport has been established. His foster family describes him as well-mannered and cooperative, and feel that he has formed a strong attachment to them and loves being part of a family unit. In fact, Khaleel has really developed a taste for the family’s Peruvian food and culture and has embraced taking family vacations with them. He enjoys and does well with his foster siblings who are both older and younger than he.

Apart from family life, Khaleel has his own interests which are fairly typical of a boy his age; he enjoys computer games, collecting cards, and playing sports. At school, Khaleel makes friends easily, attends “lunch bunch” with a guidance counselor, and performs well with the assistance of an Individualized Education Plan for speech. Khaleel realizes that his forgetfulness can make school a challenge for him, but having an involved caretaker has helped him tremendously in this area. The right family for Khaleel would support him as he continues to blossom both as a student and as a young man.

Khaleel’s social worker feels that he would do best with two parents or with a single female and in a home with or without other children. Khaleel does not maintain contact with his birth family, but he would like an adoptive family that would support contact with his current foster family.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would find a family that realizes my potential and helps me to blossom.
