HI! My name is Lanaisha.
"I like to choreograph my own dance routines."
"I want to be an actress when I grow up."

And here's what others say...
Lanaisha is an eleven-year-old young lady of African American descent. Lanaisha loves gymnastics and takes weekly classes. She also loves to dance and creates her own dance moves and routines. Lanaisha can be humorous, friendly, outgoing and funny when she is in a good place, but can also be guarded and quiet when she is sad. When she has a plan and has structure in her life, Lanaisha can be goal-oriented and focused. She prides herself on her independence as she has learned to depend on herself and sees herself as alone in this world. She is very good at self care which includes exercising and eating healthy.

Entering the 6th grade in the fall of 2016, Lanaisha does well in school and works hard to succeed. Her favorite subject is science because she learns about animals which she loves. At times, Lanaisha can struggle with peer relationships. Lanaisha sometimes gets into verbal altercations and has a difficult time accepting blame or letting it go. She is currently in therapy to help address some of these concerns.

Legally freed for adoption Lanaisha would do well in most any family constellations where praise is a motivator. When Lanaisha believes that others think she is doing well, she is more likely to try and do her best. A family who can balance kind consequences and still focus on positive behaviors will help Lanaisha flourish. Lanaisha has a sister in New York that she would benefit from visiting on a regular basis.
