Valerie is a beautiful 4 year old girl of African American descent. She can appear shy when she first meets you but soon opens up when she feels more comfortable.  She enjoys play time with her toys and her favorite doll, Tiana, from The Princess and the Frog movie.  At bedtime, she needs her “blankie” to sleep.  She is just beginning to learn to read and repeatedly asks to be read any book about “Dora the Explorer”.  She attends daycare and gets along well with her peers and the daycare staff.  She eats well, is not a picky eater, and goes to bed at night with very little difficulty.  The ideal family for Valerie would be a two parent home that sets strong limits regarding inappropriate and unacceptable behavior.  Valerie should also be the only or significantly youngest child in the home.  Legally free for adoption, Valerie will need frequent contact with her older brother who lives with his adoptive family near Boston.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would have a family with a big backyard in which to play.
