Cilfredo is a sweet and engaging 13 year old boy of Hispanic descent. He is described as very loyal and giving. He has a passion and inclination for music and loves to play the keyboard, although he has had no formal training. His favorite artists are Lady Gaga and Alicia Keyes. He would like to be a pianist when he’s older. Currently in seventh grade, Cilfredo is functioning at grade level with the exception of needing help in math and reading. He struggles emotionally and behaviorally in school and requires a small and highly structured classroom. Cilfredo very much wants his own family but has an issue of trust around being placed in one. He will require a family that is willing to be a visiting resource with a slow transition toward placement. Cilfredo will require a two parent family, preferably with no other children. His forever family will need to participate in family therapy and learn about attachment issues as well as the fortitude to maintain a healthy and positive relationship with Cilfredo.
