HI! My name is Jaylen.
“I want to be a superhero!”

Let me tell you more about myself…
I love peanut butter, bananas, and ice cream.

And here’s what others say…
Jaylen is a smart and spunky 6 year old boy who enjoys riding his bike, coloring, and playing with Legos.  Jaylen is of African American and Caucasian descent, is incredibly intelligent, and has keen instincts. His worker notes that he is great at “reading” people. Jaylen is energetic and enthusiastic about most things, and he can keep himself busy. He has an active imagination and especially likes reading and imaginative play. Additionally, Jaylen is athletic and at times aggressive; he will need a nurturing yet strong family to guide him.

Currently in kindergarten, Jaylen is working ahead of his grade level. His behaviors can sometimes get in the way of his academic performance, but his specialized class has seen him make progress in this respect. A pre-adoptive family for Jaylen should be patient and understanding and support him as he addresses his past trauma. Currently, Jaylen is doing well in his foster home where there are both older and younger children. He listens to his foster parents and has taken several family vacations with them. Jaylen is legally free, will likely continue to visit with his birth family, and is looking forward to finding a forever home and family to call his own.

If I could have my own special wish…
I would find a family that would read to me and love me.
