Daeshaun is an 11 year old legally free boy of African American descent. Presently in the fourth grade in an alternative school, Daeshaun has an Individualized Education Plan for both behavior and academics. His favorite activities are playing video games, participating in all types of sports, swimming and riding his bike. This past summer Daeshaun planted a garden at his residential program which he really enjoyed and was found to be very responsible for the ongoing tasks. Daeshaun has a history of struggles with his peers and often presents with a flat affect. Daeshaum finds it easier to build relationships with males rather than females. Daehaun has one wish which is to leave his residential program and be adopted by his forever family. He is best suited for a single male or two male family where is he is the only or youngest child. He will also need a family that will be to help him maintain contact with older brothers.
