I am very animated and chatty when something interests me.

Sandra is a sweet and good natured 14 year old Caucasian young woman. She is a happy teenager who approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Sandra has a wide range of interests but is especially interested in singing and dancing. She also likes animals and has expressed that she may like to be a veterinarian someday. Sandra presents as immature for her age and struggles to be independent, but she is making progress in this area and will continue to do so with reminders and prompting from adults. She is a kind and sensitive girl who enjoys most aspects of school and does well in her current academic setting. Sandra’s educational skills are below grade level, and she will need a family to advocate for and guide her.

The ideal family for Sandra would preferably have some parenting experience and be gentle in redirecting her while also encouraging her to be more independent. Sandra needs supervision and structure especially around social situations where she continues to need a lot of support from adult caretakers. She would not be comfortable with a single male or two males, and her worker feels she would benefit from being the youngest child in the home. Sandra also needs a family that will help her maintain contact with her older siblings and support her twice yearly visits with her birth mother. She is legally free for adoption.
