Introduction
Wesley is a healthy, sweet, creative, helpful and caring boy. Bright and curious of his surroundings he may appear shy and reserved at first but becomes more comfortable through play. Wesley is not comfortable talking about himself to others. Wesley is a natural builder. He loves building with Legos and is able to make amazing and ornate origami art. He also creates new games and has a very vivid imagination. He loves to read. Math is his favorite subject. He would like to be an engineer when he grows up. Extra support during transitions both in school and out of school are key to Wesley's success. He is learning how to navigate social interaction with his peers.
Wesley has recently expressed his loneliness to his adoption worker. He would really like to be able to talk to someone on the phone or have someone visit with him on a consistent basis. He lives in Central MA but this relationship may best be started with phone calls. Once Wesley feels comfortable then in-person visits could start. It is the consistency of the phone calls and/or visits that is important to Wesley. When a pre-adoptive family is found for Wesley it should be a two-parent family with children his age or older. He will need a family that will provide him with much love, guidance, structure, routine and extra support with transitions. He responds best with positive reinforcement.
