Introduction

Gabriel, who likes to be called Gabe, is a fun and silly young boy with a great sense of humor and a very vivid imagination. Gabe enjoys building with Legos, blocks, and Magna tiles. But what Gabe really LOVES is playing with his matchbox cars and trucks, working on his tablet, playing video games, watching TV and playing outside.Gabe can also be a great leader among his peers. In his program Gabe is attending school, while in class he receives extra support throughout the day. As most children his age time and preparation for any transition is key. Very engaging Gabe will talk and ask questions of everyone he meets.Gabe would do best in a 2 parent family that has additional parenting support when needed. This family should also be trauma informed. Gabe should be in a home with no other children. If there are older children in the home they should be heading into adulthood and be a role model for Gabe. Gabe will need routine and structure in his new family along with firm boundaries, limits and expectations. Gabe has 2 younger brothers. One brother visits with him monthly and the other one visits 2-3 times a year. His new family will need to help Gabe maintain in person and other forms of contact with his brothers who live in western MA. He is also very close to and will need continued visits with his maternal grandmother and great grandmother who also live in western MA.
