Introduction

Jehlia is a fun, smart and engaging girl. She has a great smile and laugh. Jehlia is an active girl who has excelled at all physical activities. Jehlia did a "Ninja Warrior" camp which she loved! She wants to be several things when she grows up but mostly she wants to be happy.

Jehlia is smart and does well academically. She receives supports to ensure that her emotional needs are met. Jehlia loves other kids and is very friendly.

Jehlia who is of African American descent, would do best in a strong, structured home as an only child, with parents that are able to support her. Jehlia wants a family that looks like her. When her worker speaks with her about adoption, Jehlia will show her worker black and brown families that she thinks may be a match. Jehlia's worker is open to a family where at least one of the parents is a person of color. A family for Jehlia must be supportive of her relationship with her brother. She also has visits twice a year with her birth mother.
