Introduction

Chantce is a sweet, creative girl. She enjoys staying active. She loves soccer, hockey, and basketball. She also enjoys creating art. Chantce is a spunky, funny girl. She is passionate about what she enjoys. Chantce is social and loves to spending time and playing sports with others. 

Chantce attends school daily, where she recives some additional support. She has been making progress academically. Chantce gets along very well with her teachers and peers. 

Chantce would do well with a family who can provide unconditional love, support, and security. She loves to stay active and would do well with a family who encourages her to join sports teams or clubs. Chantce does well with one on one support. A family should be open to engaging in any recommended services. Chantce is a young African American girl who has lived with foster families of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. As with all children, Chantce would benefit from having pre-adoptive parents of the same racial and ethnic background. If a family can meet all of Chantce’s other needs but are of a different racial and/or ethnic background, they need to be firmly committed to raising her with providing appropriate role models and information about her birth culture. Regardless of their ethnic or racial identity, the pre-adoptive family for Chantce must be comfortable discussing race and racism. Chantce has a very close relationship with her younger sister and they visit regularly. She also visits with her adult sisters.
