Introduction

Raelynn is a friendly and social young girl that is known to make those around her smile. Dancing and bouncing around to music are very important, as it brings her great joy. She also enjoys playing with her toys such as bubbles and beads that she taps on her surroundings. Other favorites include water play and putting her feet in the pool. Raelynn loves being outside on the swings and taking long walks in her stroller where she listens to the birds chirping. Recently, Raelynn has been enjoying cause and effect apps on her tablet where she can push buttons and see things like fireworks on the screen. Raelynn loves receiving attention and having physical contact with the people in her environment; she is able to interact and connect and is especially responsive to known people.Raelynn has complex medical needs and with support she has been able to continue making strides in her growth. Her teachers say that she is "coming right along." She is learning and engaging in new skills every day. Raelynn is currently working on walking and has started taking steps independently. She is also working on verbal communication and has said one or two words. Raelynn is often smiling and making eye contact; she is able to express herself through facial expressions. Her providers say that over the past year she has made great progress in terms of her health and cognitive development, and especially in her social development; she loves watching the other children.Raelynn’s social worker is seeking a loving family of any constellation that is able to support and advocate for her medical and developmental needs. She thrives in a busy household and currently lives in a foster home that she has been in for years with siblings and pets. Raelynn will require an accessible home and vehicle, as well as sufficient space for adaptive equipment. Any family for Raelynn must be willing to be a part of a team and be open to helping her maintain a relationship with her paternal grandparents who are very involved in her care and medical treatment.
