Introduction
Mackensie, who likes to be called Mack, is an active and loving boy. He loves to be outdoors exploring nature. He also just signed up for his school's swim team and is loving it. When inside he enjoys reading and playing video games. Kind, curious, thoughtful and inquisitive are other adjectives that his friends and others have used to describe him. Although Mack can appear shy and serious at first, he can warm up quickly. He is also a very social and very engaging boy with an interest in learning to play all sports. He also enjoys riding his bike, hoverboarding, riding his scooter and rollerblading. He is a skilled athlete who has excellent gross motor skills and balance. When asked about his future goals Mack states that he would like to join the army when he grows up. Mack has an adventurous spirit and loves to try new experiences. He is a hard worker in school and utilizes an educational plan for his social, emotional and academic needs. He has made some very large gains this year in school and his grade are increasingly getting higher. He has many friends in school and is well liked by his teachers and other school staff. He is learning to take on leadership roles in school by helping others. Mackensie loves animals and is very gentle with them. His foster home has pets and he loves interacting with them.
Mackensie would do well in most any family constellation as the youngest or only child in the home. His new family will need to be patient, provide him with structure and routine and be able to give him the individual attention he needs. He will do well with a family that supports his social, emotional and academic development. With a daily routine, structure, positive reinforcement and consistent expectations Mackensie with thrive. Very bonded to his 2 brothers who live in western MA Mackensie's new family will need to help him maintain sibling contact in the form of personal visits, phone calls, and virtual media.
