Introduction

Journey is a very likeable 13 year old girl who is very artistic and loves music, drawing and dancing. Journey is also able to make and maintain peer relationships both in and out of her school setting. She does very well in school, is in the 8th grade in a public school setting and is playing the trumpet in the school band.  Journey has expressed that she would like to be a foster parent, a social worker or any type of profession that has to do with helping children.  Journey is a great advocate for herself and wants to be a typical teenager and do the typical things that teens do like going to the Mall, visiting with her friends, have a phone and having less restrictions on her tablet. She does well with routine and describes herself as "kind and thoughtful of others", Journey would do best in a home with at least 1 female caregiver with no other children in the home or older children. Journey is very close with her siblings and will need the help of her new family to maintain contact with her siblings.
