Introduction

Jose is a fun loving, energetic boy. He has a big heart that he would love to share with a family. He is very kind and empathetic. Jose is always on the move, whether on the playground, riding his bike, or playing soccer and basketball. He would do well with a family who enjoys staying active and would love to join some extracurricular activities or sports. Jose really enjoys being read stories before bedtime. Jose’s favorite foods are pizza, pancakes, and spaghetti, while he can do without shrimp and brussels sprout!

Jose attends school daily, where he receives some additional support. He likes playing with his friends and gets along with his teachers and school staff. His favorite subjects are art and music class!

Jose would do best with a two parent home either without other children or with older siblings. Jose has expressed that a family doesn’t need to be “perfect” but he would love an active family that enjoys laughter and having fun together. He expressed that he wants a patient and loving family. He would love to engage in sports and extracurricular activities. Jose has a lot of love to give and would love a family who can match his energy and is actively involved in their community. Jose thrives on one on one attention and would really benefit from a male role model. A family should be open to engaging in any recommended therapeutic or in home services. Jose is a Hispanic boy of Puerto Rican descent. He would do well with a family of color, or a family who can ensure that he is able to maintain his cultural connections. He would love a family who shares or honors his Christian beliefs, as he is an active participant in church. Additionally, Jose regularly visits and talk with his older sister and it is important that this relationship is maintained.
