Introduction

Lucas is sweet and charismatic! He enjoys spending his time reading, swimming, playing soccer, riding his bike, and socializing with others. Lucas can speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Spanish. He loves talking about his heritage and will take any chance he can to practice speaking Russian or Ukrainian. He is a wonderful advocate and prefers to hold conversations with those who are older than him. One of his favorite phrases is, "Your words must match your actions."

Lucas attends a public school. Lucas's social worker describes his intellect as "larger than life," as he enjoys learning about people, different cultures, and various topics. He is very sociable and makes friends easily.

Lucas will do well with a family of any constellation from New England or New York. Lucas would also do well with other children who are older as a potential role model. It is important that his pre-adoptive family is willing to support Lucas in maintaining connections with his biological family.
