Introduction

Robert is a creative and imaginative boy. He loves nature and talking about different animals. Robert likes to be active. He enjoys riding his new bike and playing basketball. Robert’s favorite movie is the Lion King and he loves playing with his Lion King stuffed animals. Robert is a funny and sweet boy who can get along with anyone.

Robert attends school daily, where he receives some additional support. He has been thriving with a great educational team. He does well academically and is making progress in school.

Robert would do well with a family of any constellation, either with no children or older children. He would do best with a trauma-informed family who can provide consistent, patience, and structure throughout the day. Robert is of African American descent. As with all children, Robert would benefit from having pre-adoptive parents of the same racial and ethnic background. If a family can meet all of Robert’s other needs but are of a different racial and/or ethnic background, they need to be comfortable teaching him about his birth culture. They also must be comfortable discussing race and racism. Robert thrives on one on one attention. Robert visits with his sisters and it is very important that these relationships be maintained.
