Introduction

Alanna is a kind, caring, and personable young lady with a vibrant and engaging personality. She thrives off of connection and exhibits strong social skills, self-awareness, and empathy. Alanna enjoys sharing her interests, participating in engaging activities, and spending time with animals. She is helpful around the home and enjoys supporting the people she cares about. Alanna is playful, charismatic, and curious. She can be sassy, but nurturing environments bring out her thoughtful and nurturing side.

Alanna is a creative, active, and family-oriented person who enjoys participating in activities that inspire her interests and allow her to express her creativity. One way she expresses her creativity is through engaging in arts and crafts projects. Music is also an important part of Alana’s interests, which she enjoys expressing in a variety of ways. She loves listening to her favorite artists and participating in after-school dance, where she can stay active while expressing her creativity and passion for music. Alanna also enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and playing family board games.

Alana’s favorite television show is The Rookie, which has sparked her interest in law enforcement and inspired her dream of becoming a police officer. She especially enjoys opportunities to explore this interest and learn more about the important role and responsibilities of police officers. Alana also loves animals and enjoys every opportunity she gets to spend time with them. She would really love to have a dog of her own someday. Who knows, perhaps we have a future K-9 officer in the making.

Alanna is enrolled in a middle school that is part of a combined middle and high school campus.

She has demonstrated consistent academic success, including Honor Roll status and High Honors for the 2025–2026 school year. Reading is an area of relative strength for Alanna, and she continues to develop her skills in written expression and math. She benefits from small-group instruction, individualized support, check-ins, breaks, and positive relationships with trusted adults. With appropriate support and encouragement, Alanna is able to persevere through challenges and experience success.

Alanna is currently placed with a foster family and foster sibling, with whom she has developed a strong and positive relationship. She has adjusted well to the placement and demonstrates increasing independence with household routines and emotional regulation. Alanna continues to value her family relationships and participates in visits with her mother and adult sister. She also maintains an emotional connection with her older sister, despite a current pause in sibling visits.

Alanna values being heard, maintaining family connections, and building trusting, meaningful relationships. She would thrive with a warm, supportive, and engaging family who enjoys staying active, spending time together, watching TV, and sharing plenty of laughter. A family with pets and vibrant personalities would be especially appealing to her. Alanna would be comfortable in a religious household and would do well in a family of any constellation, with or without other children in the home.

Interested families should have experience with therapeutic parenting and be open to provider support. First time parents may be considered if they have experience supporting youth affected by trauma and loss. Families should also support her strong connection with her birth family, including ongoing contact and visits with her.
