Introduction

Emily is a warm. friendly, caring and happy young woman who loves to talk about her interests and enjoys hands on activities. Very outgoing Emily is helpful to the staff in her program and is always willing to give of her time to help others. She sees a future in which she is married, has a family, a secure job and her own home. She loves helping other younger children in her program especially those who are non verbal. Emily has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and is required to use a wheel chair.  But with physical therapy she is strengthening her muscles and her ability to stand and walk for longer periods of time.  Emily attends school in her program which is located in Manchester NH.  Although, like a typical teenager, she would rather be somewhere else other than a classroom,  Emily is overall doing well in school and working hard to meet her goal.  She attends therapy to help her with her coping skills and her triggers.  Emily has no contact with her birth family but has an ongoing  relationship with her previous foster mother.
