Emerson is a nineteen-year-old from Guatemala who is hoping to connect with a family here in the United States. He has been living in Massachusetts for the past five years and has worked hard to build a life for himself in a new country. As he begins this next chapter of adulthood, Emerson is looking for a family who can offer guidance, support, and the opportunity to build lifelong connections.

Emerson is sweet, joyful and full of life. He has a great sense of humor and brings a positive outlook wherever he goes. He loves spending time with his friends, especially while playing video games. One of his favorite games is Minecraft, and he's even modified his Minecraft world to add some of his favorite creatures.

When Emerson isn't playing games, you can catch him in a Muay Thai class which he participates in after school. He loves listening to reggaeton, bachata, and other Latin music, especially music that connects him back to his culture. He also enjoys cooking and is learning new skills in the kitchen. Some of his favorite foods are churrasco and Pepián, and he enjoys sharing the foods that remind him of home. |

Family is incredibly important to Emerson. Growing up in Guatemala, he enjoyed going to school, spending time with friends, and being surrounded by his family. Today, his biological parents and two sisters still live in Guatemala, and Emerson hopes to continue staying close with them.
He hopes his future family will understand how meaningful those relationships are and support him in maintaining those connections. Emerson would love to celebrate holidays together, share his culture with his family, and hopefully visit Guatemala again in the future.
Emerson is looking for a family who will welcome him into their home and support him as he continues growing into adulthood. He would enjoy having siblings around his age to build friendships with, and he is open to different family structures including a single mom, two moms, or a mom and dad.
And of course, a dog would be a huge bonus! Emerson would especially love a poodle.
Emerson has worked hard through many changes and is excited about the future. A family who can support his goals, celebrate his culture, and help him continue building his life in Massachusetts could be the connection Emerson has been hoping for.
