The Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) invites pre/adoptive families to a series of Trauma Informed Parenting virtual trainings facilitated by Fostering Hope’s TBRI® practitioners. This is a small-group, practical training, and participants are asked to be available on camera throughout the session, if possible. This opportunity is intended for Massachusetts pre/adoptive families who have completed MAPP training.
Register for other training sessions: This training is intended to be taken as a full series, however, participants are able to register for each session individually as their schedule allows.

About TBRI:
TBRI® is an evidence-based caregiving intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of children from hard places of abuse, neglect, and/or trauma. TBRI® empowers caregivers and professionals to create within their homes and practices cultures of felt-safety, trust, attachment, and, ultimately, hope and healing. The training will help attendees better understand the needs of children with trauma histories and consider some tools and strategies that maximize their potential for growth in our care. You can learn more about the TBRI® model here: https://youtu.be/FWScSJKjn1A
About the Facilitators:
The training will be facilitated by Jonathan Reid and Mike Brown of Fostering Hope, an organization that empowers churches and individuals to care for children and families impacted by foster care. Practitioners in the trauma-informed Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) and Trauma Competent Caregiver® (TCC) care models, Jonathan and Mike speak honestly as they continue to learn and apply these principles not only in their training but also in their homes as foster and adoptive fathers.
Cost:
These trainings are offered free of charge to Massachusetts Pre-adoptive and adoptive families through DCF or a contracted agency thanks to the generosity of MARE’s supporters (many of whom are families who have benefited from TBRI training). Registrations will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
