Description

Come join us for a special meet and greet with Isaac Etter, a transracial adoptee who is passionate about sharing his story and helping adoptive families grow in understanding and connection. Isaac will talk about his own adoption journey and what it was like growing up in a transracial family, offering a heartfelt perspective that adoptive parents don’t often get to hear firsthand.

This will be a relaxed and welcoming space where you can listen, learn, and ask questions. Isaac is open, down-to-earth, and ready to engage in honest conversation — making this a wonderful opportunity to gain insight into the adoptee experience and how to better support your children as they grow.

Whether you’re early in your adoption journey or have been parenting for years, this time together promises to be encouraging, eye-opening, and filled with connection.

Isaac Etter is a transracial adoptee and social entrepreneur dedicated to reshaping how we support adoptive families. Adopted at the age of two, Isaac brings both lived experience and professional insight to his work as the founder of Parenting Different. Isaac is a sought-after speaker and educator who uses his personal story to spark meaningful conversations around race, identity, and adoption. His work centers on the voices and experiences of adoptees while equipping parents and child welfare professionals with the tools to raise children who feel seen, heard, and valued. With a passion for truth and transformation, Isaac leads powerful trainings and keynotes on the complexities of adoption, transracial adoption, and the lifelong journey of identity development for adoptees. His expertise helps bridge the gap between good intentions and informed action, creating space for healing, connection, and real change.

Childcare will be provided by the church, but you must tell Liz (lizj@mareinc.org) beforehand your child(ren)'s ages so the church can have enough caregivers on hand.

***Foster parent/training hours available for those who need them. A certificate will be emailed to you after the event.
