Caregiver Assessment Registration

If you are a Massachusetts family with a current caregiver assessment for foster care adoption, and you are approved for the placement of children 6 years old and older, sibling groups, children with disabilities or complex needs, or older youth of color you can submit your caregiver assessment for registration to support your social worker’s matching efforts.

When your caregiver assessment is registered, you will have access to see all children registered with MARE and our Child Services Coordinators will be able to identify your family for potential matches through our database. We also send a summary of caregiver assessment registered with MARE to DCF’s adoption supervisors and children’s social workers of contracted agencies for consideration of potential matches with the children in their regions.

Caregiver Assessment Verification

All other caregiver assessments can be sent for verification, allowing you access to see and inquire about all children registered with MARE (including children whose goal is adoption but are still at legal risk).

For Families Outside Massachusetts

Families from other New England states and New York can also submit their caregiver assessment for consideration.
