TBRI Adoptive Parent Training
MARE invites pre/adoptive and recently placed families to a series of Trauma Informed Parenting virtual trainings facilitated by Fostering Hope’s TBRI® practitioners. This opportunity is intended for Massachusetts pre/adoptive families who have completed MAPP training or families recently placed.

Purpose Expedition
MARE and Compass Path invite waiting teenagers and prospective adoptive families to join us for a day of adventure and connection. This is a unique opportunity for teens and families to create lasting connections, while also providing an empowering experience for all. Together, participants will explore their passions and strengths, and then put them into practice with team-building challenges and a high-ropes course.

Building Your Village
Join MARE staff and experienced adoptive parents, Liz Joyal and Mary Nogueras, for a virtual workshop about how to build your own support network of people who will support and encourage you in your adoption parenting journey. We’ll talk through identifying friends and family, inviting them to join your village, and preparing and orienting them to be the supports you will need through the joys and struggles of adoptive parenting.

Holden Meet & Greet
Please join us to meet waiting, school-aged children and sibling groups from the Central Region. Activities will include games, arts & crafts, pony rides, and a petting zoo. A pizza lunch will be served and snacks and beverages will be provided. Families will be emailed a template to create a one-page profile upon registration.

15th Annual Jordan's Furniture Walk/Run for Adoption
Get ready for the 15th Annual Jordan's Furniture Walk/Run for Adoption! This event includes festivities, food, games, balloons, and family-friendly fun! Walkers and runners are invited to complete a 5k fun-run, consisting of three loops around the course. All the funds raised from this event go towards helping children and teens in foster care find adoptive homes!

Understanding and Supporting Your Transracial Adoptee
This workshop covers everything needed to be a great transracial adoptive parent. This presentation will cover Isaac Etter's transracial adoption experience, understanding bias, racial identity development for adoptees, and Isaac's practical guide to transracial adoption. The audience will get a deeper understanding of bias and how to address bias in themselves, how to support their child's racial identity development, and a practical guide of what to do and conversations to have in every age group.

Western Region Matching Event
Please join us to meet waiting children ages 12 and up from the Western Region. Activities will include Roller Skating, TEAM Laser Tag and Arts and Crafts. Waiting children attending will receive pizza and a drink. This event is open to families who are in any stage of the adoption process or are already licensed to adopt from foster care.
