This March (2025), we rolled up our sleeves and cooked up connection at our Pasta & Possibilities teen matching event!
Teens in foster care often face an uphill journey when it comes to finding permanent families. As they get older, their chances of adoption decrease—yet their need for love, stability, and belonging is just as strong. That’s why MARE is committed to creating unique, teen-centered events that go beyond the typical meet-and-greet.
Pasta & Possibilities brought teens and prospective adoptive families together for a hands-on pasta-making experience, filled with shared laughter, collaborative cooking, and meaningful conversation.
These structured yet relaxed events are designed to help youth and families connect in new ways—building comfort, trust, and authentic relationships.
A huge thank you to Taste Buds Kitchen for hosting us in such a welcoming and engaging space, and to our amazing Child Services Coordinator Debbie and our Child Services intern Jenna for making this event possible with their creativity, care, and dedication.
We’re stepping up for teens—and we’re grateful to every person who stepped up with us this weekend.
