Introduction

Alanza is a very strong self-advocate. She is also very social and outgoing. Alanza is a curious young teen, who is a keen observer. Alanza loves to dance and to listen to music. Alanza attended her first concert this summer at Fenway and had an amazing time! She is quick to compliment peers and adults. She describes herself as smart and was proud to find out that she has a high IQ. Alanza’s goal is to attend college, and she hopes to become either a lawyer or a police officer. Alanza recently started soccer. While she prefers pickup games, Alanza has started to play soccer in an organized league. 

Jakobie is a friendly and engaging preteen who is sociable around both peers and adults. He has a bright smile that is contagious, causing all those around Jakobie to want to smile as well! Jakobie is proud of his athletic skills. He loves to play basketball and football. Jakobie’s favorite sport is basketball, and he hopes to be able to play in the NBA in the future. This year he joined his school’s cross-country team. Jakobie entered middle school this year and is an exceptional student. He is well liked by staff and his peers. Jakobie likes to stay busy, and he enjoys spending time with others.

Alanza and Jakobie who are of African American and Native American descent, will do best in a two-parent home with or without other children. A family for Alanza and Jakobie will need to be supportive of their relationship with their birth family.
