Introduction
Darion and Julian are kind and respectful brothers in need of family. Darion, the older of the two brothers, is an easygoing young man who adapts well to routines and thrives in environments where expectations are clear and consistent. Known for his cheerful outlook, Darion builds strong, healthy relationships and is thoughtful in his interactions with others. He demonstrates a strong awareness of people’s feelings and responds well to guidance and structure. Adults often describe him as a “good kid.”
Julian, the younger brother, is a bright young man who is easy to get along with and enjoyable to be around. He maintains a positive attitude and interacts well with both adults and peers. When he feels comfortable, Julian communicates openly and honestly, often showing a level of maturity beyond his years. Like his brother, he responds well to guidance and structure and is also described as a “good kid.”
Both Darion and Julian enjoy spending time with their peers and have a strong interest in sports, particularly football and basketball, and thrive in opportunities that allow them to be physically active and part of a team. They both benefit from encouragement and structured support, to develop both their confidence and interests. Continued participation in extracurricular activities, especially sports, would provide them with opportunities to enhance their teamwork skills and overall personal growth.
Darion and Julian are both enrolled in a local public middle school and are thriving. Darion is performing well academically with the benefit of specialized support. In fact, he is doing so well that it has been determined that he will be successful in a general education setting with continued structure and encouragement. Julian, who also receives additional supports, is a straight-A student with excellent attendance, reflecting his dedication and strong work ethic. He stands out for his academic commitment and responsible nature, taking pride in his accomplishments and consistently demonstrating motivation in school. They both demonstrate appropriate peer relationships and are able to function well within the school environment.
Darion and Julian are placed together in the same foster home and share a close bond with their foster mother, whom they affectionately call “Ma.” This reflects their sense of comfort, attachment, and belonging within the home. Being placed together provides them with stability and connection, where they benefit from a supportive environment that includes consistent routines, such as daily affirmations. They also get along well with their foster mother’s biological son and engage positively within the household. They maintain emotional connections with their other siblings, particularly those placed outside of the home, and they both have shared that they miss them and would like more consistent contact.
It is important that the children stay together, as their bond gives them comfort, support, and continued stability. They would do best in a safe, caring, and structured home where they are encouraged to grow and thrive. A family that supports their interest in sports, provides steady routines, and values education will help them succeed. It is also important for them to stay connected with their siblings, as these relationships are meaningful to their happiness and emotional well-being.
